In 2014, WorldStage endeavored to help bring ShogyoMujo, a massive sculptural projection mapping project, to Burning Man. Four of us from WorldStage brought out projectors, scaffolding, cabling, media servers and enclosures to the Nevada desert. We were able to get the projection technology up and running with no serious hiccups, but the rest of the project did not go exactly as planned.
In November, I spoke about ShogyoMujo at Dorkbot SF, a semi-regular event at which people present their efforts to do “strange things with electricity.” You can see my presentation here.
Since Burning Man 2014, ShogyoMujo has successfully appeared at Adobe MAX and Siggraph.
