WorldStage Summer Associate Program
WorldStage, one of the premier entertainment technology and staging companies in the US, is pleased to offer a summer associate program for aspiring technicians, programmers, or project managers. The program is intended for college or graduate school students seeking training in their chosen field, in real conditions, working alongside the top veterans in the industry. Successful applicants will be placed in one of our facili-ties, which are located in New York, New Jersey, Northern California and Southern California.
After successfully completing the program, the associate may be offered a full-time position at WorldStage, commencing post-graduation.
The program is offered to select college students interested in pursuing a career in event technical produc-tion, professional audio, video, lighting or media programming. The program is offered by application only and will be offered to a limited number of applicants each summer.
The commitment requires at least 40 hours per week. The program runs four to six weeks.The program offers multiple specialty tracks, which may be combined to provide the most flexible learning environment. The tracks include:
- Project Management
- Audio Technical
- Video Technical
- Media Programming (offered only in NY & NJ)
- Lighting Technical (offered only in New Jersey)
- Systems Engineer (offered only in New Jersey)
The WorldStage Summer Associate program provides a stipend to help cover living and transportation expenses. Out-of-town students are directed to student housing organizations such as www.studenthousing.org/ that provide reasonably priced housing for summer students and interns.
